About the Designs
When my mother’s cousins came for a visit, usually for afternoon tea (yes the best cups and sauces were used and lots of homemade cakes and biscuits) there were always lots of hugs and kisses. My father’s family were more reserved …. so he used to say ‘here come the Kissing Cousins’ with a great chuckle.
The first colourway I stitched was Wattle, inspired by early bright green spring leaves bursting open with red/rusty tips of buds on deciduous trees.
As cross stitch is often referred to as the x stitch, which can also represent kisses xxx. I decided to have a range of cross stitches as the main stitch for Kissing Cousins. Enjoy xxx
Stitches used:
Over 10 stitches are woven into Kissing Cousins, all based on a variation of cross stitch.
