About the Designs
Inspiration: On the North West coast of my island state of Tasmania there is the wonderful Table Cape Tulip Farm.
Located on the rolling hills, with rich red soil and next to the Ocean it is so picturesque, people flock to see the tulips in flower each October. The small local fishing village now hosts as Tulip Festival each year.
The farm sells the bulbs so we can also enjoy them in our own garden.

I therefore designed Tulip Farm with many ‘rows of Tulips’ stepping gracefully across canvas with sections of aqua representing the ocean that is the back drop to the Table Cape Farm.

It was so easy to select two colour pallets to stitch with. Tulips are bright, cheerful and joyous.

Stitches used:
Scotch, rice, elongated crosses in different sizes, half Rhodes, Leviathian, Brighton variation, Byzantine, Flower, Fern, tied gobelin, plus lots more

Requirements
Rainbow Gallery

Beading thread:
Needles: Tapestry 22 and 24

Canvas: #18 count mono 16” x 12”
